Herts Premier Division leaders Radlett eased to a convincing seven-wicket win over third-placed Harpenden on Saturday.

The visitors were put into bat after losing the toss and could only score a total of 190 for eight from their innings.

Opener Nick Lamb top scored with 58 and there were contributions from Ben Frazer (27), Scott Galloway (25) and Jake Pankhurst (24). Randeep Sanghera claimed figures of three for 44 and Rob Clements took two for 21.

In reply, Radlett eased to the target for the loss of three wickets in 41.3 overs. Jonathan McLean finished on 42 not out and Joe Cooke scored 39 for the victors.

Frazer picked up two for 30 and Will Jones took one for 40 but Harpenden were still no match for the league leaders.

In Division Two A, Radlett Seconds moved within three points of Leverstock Green after a three-wicket win over the leaders in their top of the table clash.

Radlett were rewarded when Ross Carpenter (two for 43), bowling superbly first up, dismissed the dangerous pairing of Miles Barnard and Lewis Koch. Leverstock grew back into the game with a partnership of 73 between the free hitting Kris Jadeja and skipper Littlejohn before an inspired bowling change brought Troy Barrett (five for 29) into the attack, taking two wickets in his first two deliveries, to finish with his maiden five-wicket haul for Radlett as Green were dismissed for 153.

The reply got off to the worst possible start with Alex Cook being dismissed with the score on one but good batting by Noah Lipschitz (42) and Hugh McDowell (13) settled the nerves.

Neel Malde grafted away (35) but once he fell, three wickets in the space of six balls brought the game into the balance. But Barrett hit 31 not out, supported well by Michael Lee (20), to secure the victory.
