Shenley Village suffered another Championship defeat after losing to Stevenage by 69 runs.

After winning the toss, Shenley put Stevenage into bat but this failed to pay off as their opponents scored a total of 275 all out.

It was hard work in the field for Shenley Village with Lloyd Willingham taking three for 64 and Charlie Clarke returning figures of three for 75. Oliver Andrews took two for nine and Charlie Thurston finished with one for 79.

The run chase always looked a tall order for Shenley and a poor start did not help their cause with openers Thurston and Willingham scoring just ten between them. Tom Bruce gave the side hope with a decent knock of 51 and Neal Kanabar was unbeaten on 45 but the rest of the side failed to score heavily as Shenley were dismissed for 206.
