Radlett kept the pressure on Herts Premier Division leaders Harpenden with a 99-run win over Potters Bar on Saturday.

Winning the toss, Radlett opted to bat first and the decision paid off as they eased their way to a commanding total of 294 for two.

The fireworks started with Joe Cooke as he hit an unbeaten 102 while Shane Burger was also in blistering form, finishing on 104 not out.

Potters Bar were always up against it and never threatened Radlett’s total as they were bowled out for 195 in 49.3 overs. Kabir Toor was the pick of Radlett's bowlers as he claimed four for 24. Rob Clements picked up three for 32 while Matt Creese finished with two for 18 as Radlett made it four wins from their opening five games.

Radlett Seconds sealed a three-wicket home victory against St Albans in Division Two A.

A fantastic bowling performance from Michael Lee and a composed batting display from Simeon Cohen ensured Radlett finished their run of limited overs games with a 100 per cent win record.

Radlett took to their task well and bowled St Albans out for 157. Ben Lederman picked up three wickets and the middle overs were superbly controlled by Michael Lee (three for 13) from his ten overs.

Late on, captain Daniel Foster produced a runout from a direct hit to remove the dangerous Caley (47).

The run chase started well and Martin Jones and Graham Dill both hit 37 before Lee (25) and Robin Willis (28) steadied the chase after a few nervy wickets.

Simeon Cohen then came to the crease and in a superb display, marshalled the tail effortlessly with 30 not-out to see Radlett to their fifth consecutive victory.

The Thirds battled to a four wicket win over Bentley Heath in Division Five A.

Bentley Heath were dismissed for 216 in 47.1 overs. Radlett did not have it all their own way but managed to reach the target for the loss of six wickets in 48.2 overs.

The result handed them their fourth win from five games to leave them second in the table ahead of this weekend’s match with leaders Watford Town Seconds.

In Division Seven B, Radlett Fourths slumped to a 119-run defeat against Bushey Seconds.

Batting first, Bushey made a total of 238 for eight from their innings.

Radlett could not find their fluency with the bat and never really looked like challenging the target as they were dismissed for 119 in 42.3 overs.

The Fifths eased to a 56-run win over Chipperfield Clarendon Thirds in Regional Division A West.

Radlett managed to reach 178 for nine from their innings. In response, Chipperfield struggled to make an impression and were all out for 122 in 33.4 overs.

Shenley Village suffered a 127-run defeat to Totteridge Millhillians in the Championship.

Batting first, Totteridge found their form with the bat as the amassed a total of 290 for eight.

Craig Rawlings returned the best bowling figures, picking up two for 31 for Shenley, while Oliver Andrews claimed two for 50.

Shenley Village faced a stern challenge reaching their target but got off to a solid start through Charles Thurston as he opened with 50. Matthew Evans added 35 and Morgan Stanley also contributed 36 but they fell short of the target and were all out for 190 in 37.3 overs.

Shenley Village Seconds were thrashed by Ickleford Seconds by eight wickets in Division Five B.

The Village batted first but had to settle for 175 for six from their 50 overs.

Ickleford made short work of the run chase reaching the target for the loss of just two wickets in 39.5 overs.

Shenley Village Thirds’ 100 per cent record in Division Nine B is over after a six-wicket loss to Datchworth Seconds.

The team came into the match off the back of four successive wins but were restricted to 175 for nine from their innings.

That always looked on the low side and Datchworth proved this was the case as they eased to the victory for the loss of four wickets in 33.5 overs.

Shenley Village will look to get back on track this weekend when they take on second-placed Flitwick Thirds.

The Fourths finally got off the mark, claiming their first win of the season in Regional B West.

Shenley Village were too strong for Chorleywood Fourths as they picked up a 41-run victory.

Batting first, Shenley hit an impressive total of 241 for seven from 45 overs.

A century from Jonathan Lyons sparked hopes of victory for Chorleywood but four of their batsmen were out for ducks as Shenley Village managed to skittle them out for 200 in 45 overs.

It was a much-needed result for the team after losing their opening three games of the campaign.
