Boreham Wood have completed the signing of former Liverpool and Wolverhampton Wanderers forward David Moli on a contract until the end of the season.

The 20-year-old striker spent time on loan at Meadow Park last term and, following his release from Molineux at the end of last season, has linked up with the Wood once more on a deal until the end of the 2014/15 campaign.

Moli had originally joined Boreham Wood on a non-contract basis last month, but Wood have now snapped up the former England youth international on a full contract for the remainder of the current campaign.

Speaking to the club's website, Wood boss Ian Allinson said of his latest addition: "David has immense natural strength and a real presence but he does need to be more consistent.

"When he’s at it, he gives us an option up front to impose ourselves on teams and is different to my other three strikers. He terrified Carlisle at times with his pace in last season's FA Cup tie up at theirs and at Hayes last Saturday they couldn’t deal with his power."

He added: "The chairman has backed me again, by allowing me to put David on a contract, and the squad is now looking as strong as it ever has during my management at Boreham Wood."

Moli began his career with Luton Town but moved to Premier League giants Liverpool in 2009 after impressing club legend Kenny Dalglish.

In 2012, the Congo-born front-man moved to Wolves but never made a first-team appearance for the Midlands oufit, before being released at the end of last season.

The 6ft 1in striker made his Wood debut against Basingstoke Town last October and had made 13 first-team appearances for the club during his loan stay.
