New images show the inside of a "luxurious" 76-bedroom care home that held its official grand opening this month.

Carpenders Park Care Home, in Oxhey Lane, was officially launched after the first residents started moving in over the past few weeks.

It caters for residential, short-stay respite, and specialist dementia care and is run by Country Court.

The operator, which has 47 care and nursing homes across the UK, says its latest home will offer “a luxurious environment with exceptional personalised care”.

Three Rivers Council chairman Raj Khiroya cut the ribbon on Friday April 12, with Claire Masterson, who manages the home, and Country Court co-CEOs Al-Karim Kachra and Alykhan Kachra.

Councillor Khiroya said: “I am delighted to be invited today to witness what a wonderful addition this Care Home will be to our local community near Watford.

“I am so proud of what this care home has to offer, and I can safely say that this home will be nothing but a success.

“I would like to book my stay now.”

Throughout the rest of the weekend, visitors were offered tours of the care home and its surroundings as well as the opportunity to meet the team and sample the menus.

Facilities on offer include an in-house cinema, bistro café, hair salon, and landscaped gardens.
