Members of a charity will soon be able to enjoy a variety of new activities thanks to a cash boost.
Members of Hertsmere Mencap joined together at the weekly drop-in centre last week as they were presented with a cheque and certificate by former mayor Councillor Carey Keates.
The charity, which was one of Cllr Keates' two chosen charities during his year of office, welcomed the former mayor and his wife Shirley for tea and biscuits before being presented with the donation - which was raised whilst he was the mayor.
Paul Moser, Mencap chairman, said the charity is very grateful for Cllr Keates’ support and that the funds have been earmarked to support launching day activities for disabled people who live in the borough.
