French people will show their English neighbours how to celebrate Bastille Day.
The Bastille Ball in the Wood will take place at Fairway Hall, in Brook Road, Borehamwood, on July 10 at 7pm.
Accordionist Roswitha Lamb will serenade the crowd as people dance, while Borehamwood Community Choir provide other musical entertainment.
Honouring 'haute couture ' , there will be a prize for the best Bastille Day costume.
Organisers of the evening are the Borehamwood and Elstree Twin Town Association ( BETTA ).
Chairman Marine Eni, who is from Alsace, in France, said: “We shall do it all 'comme il faut'.; and, to drink , how about a drop of entente cordiale?"
