A singer and songwriter is asking for sponsorship to help create a charity music video.

Crohn’s sufferer Lauren Rich, who lives off Theobald Street in Borehamwood, hopes to encourage people to donate to a charity close to her heart in exchange for appearing in her new music video.

Her first album, which was paid for by donations from fans through a successful crowd funding campaign, was recorded to fit around a number of visits to hospital after she was finally diagnosed with Crohn’s Disease.

One of the pledge rewards in this crowd-funding campaign was to appear in a music video, but only a few people donated enough for the reward.

After deciding to record a video for her song "The Drink Talking", she is now on the look out for more people to take part and has set up a fundraising opportunity to raise money the Crohn’s and Colitis charity.

She said: “On the surface, it may seem like I'm 100 per cent fine but, over the past year, I've been battling with some health issues.

“I've recently managed to complete the recording of my EP, even whilst being in pain, and this has been a real achievement for me.”

The video will be filmed in London, although the exact date and specific location are yet to be confirmed.

The 34-year-old musician has already played in a number of top London locations, such as Proud in Camden and The Water Rats in Kings Cross, along with also playing live during radio interviews.

She added: “With the help of people and their phones, which will hopefully have a video camera function, we can make a great music video.”

Her album ‘The Same Sky’ and ‘The Drink Talking’ single will be released on September 29.
